Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Abuse Among LGBT People

The researchers found that homosexual males responded no more to male children than heterosexual males responded to female children Freund et al. In summary, each of these studies failed to support the hypothesis that homosexual males are more likely than heterosexual men to molest children or to be sexually attracted to children or adolescents.

The organization holds domestic violence prevention programs at area middle schools and high schools. We want to disrupt the processing before they date people who are unhealthy. And what we need are inclusive conversations about what domestic violence is and how it impacts our community.

This report provides an overview of existing research on intimate partner violence and sexual abuse among LGBT people and makes recommendations for future research. The report reviews 42 studies that address the prevalence of these experiences and barriers to seeking help among LGBT survivors.
